Senior Legal Counsel – Transactions

FL Technics Indonesia is seeking an experienced and self-driven Senior Legal Counsel – Transactions to join our legal team. This role is ideal for a business-oriented legal professional with excellent contracting, negotiation, and process management skills, and with the capacity to work in a fast-paced, multicultural aviation environment.

This position reports directly to the Head of Legal and External Relations – Indonesia and will act as the primary legal contact for transactional and commercial contract matters in Indonesia.

YOUR TASKS:

• Own and lead the contracting activity for FL Technics Indonesia, including process standardization, creation of playbooks, policies, and tracking KPIs for contracting efficiency and risk exposure.
• Serve as the legal team lead in contracting matters, supporting and mentoring legal colleagues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate international commercial agreements, contract templates, and other corporate legal documents, ensuring legal support for critical business transactions.
• Participate in legal and cross-functional business projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Contribute to Group-wide legislation (e.g., policies, guidelines) by drafting and reviewing documents, ensuring implementation across jurisdictions in coordination with other Group legal entities.
• Identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor legal risks in commercial activities.
• Represent FL Technics Indonesia’s legal position to third parties, including in dispute resolution and litigation, where applicable.
• Drive continuous process improvements, recommend and implement enhancements to legal workflows and governance.
• Provide clear and business-oriented legal advice in both oral and written form.
• Coordinate legal services for business units as assigned by the Head of Legal and External Relations, including managing SLAs, resource allocation, and legal operations optimization.
• Conduct legal research and monitor legal developments relevant to the business.
• Perform other legal tasks as delegated by the Head of Legal and External Relations

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

• University degree in Law
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business law, preferably involving international or cross-border commercial transactions, ideally in an aviation-related environment.
• English language proficiency – C1 or higher
• Proficient in MS Office suite
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and with accountability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
