YOUR TASKS:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly available and scalable databases;
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, providing solutions to optimize database operations and minimize downtime;
• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data;
• Conduct regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, indexing, and cleanup processes to ensure data accuracy and efficiency;
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases with existing applications, enhancing functionality and performance;
• Provide guidance and support for database design, development, and optimization efforts, ensuring best practices are followed;
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in database technology and security to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge and secure;
• Prepare documentation and reports on database status, performance, and maintenance for stakeholders and upper management.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator or SQL Developer, with a strong focus on SQL Server;
• Expertise in SQL database design, development, and optimization;
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts;
• Experience with database security protocols, disaster recovery, and backup procedures;
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services (MS SQL, Oracle, Azure SQL) is a plus;
• Data warehouse maintenance;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
