Head of Logistics (Punta Cana)

With the opening of our new hangar in Punta Cana, we are actively seeking exceptional individuals to join our MRO family and now we are looking for the experienced Head of Logistics. 

YOUR TASKS:

• Actively communicate with existing carriers and search for new ones capable of providing high-quality transport services (air/road/sea).
• Negotiate transport conditions with carriers.
• Timely record cargo movement information and ensure cargo transport monitoring.
• Plan and execute international transport and distribution of goods or materials in the most efficient way.
• Work with customs brokers, providing instructions for the execution of export/import procedures.
• Prepare import/export cargoes and accompanying documentation.
• Organize and oversee complex, high-importance logistics projects involving multimodal transport.

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

• Higher or advanced education (preferably in logistics/supply chain, transport management).
• Proficiency in English along with Spanish language fluency (spoken and written).
• At least 5 years of similar work experience.
• Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, logical thinking, quick orientation skills, responsibility, strong communication skills, ability to work independently.
• Experience with air cargo transportation is an advantage.
• Experience in handling dangerous goods, with valid IATA DGR (air transport) and ADR (road transport) certifications being a strong advantage.
• Compliance Knowledge: Good understanding of international trade regulations and compliance (INCOTERMS, customs rules).
